About Kate
Kate del Castillo is an award-winning actress dominating Spanish language entertainment in the USA. Known for captivating American audiences since her performance in “Under The Same Moon” her award-winning performance in the Fox/Searchlight film is still ranked among the top 10 highest-grossing Spanish-language theatrical releases in U.S. history. Since the start of 2010 she has had the #1 show “La Reina del Sur” outperformed all the broadcast networks in the same time slot regardless of language. In 2023 she had two #1 shows simultaneously on two different platforms, “La Reina Del Sur ” Season 3 on Netflix, and “Volver a Caer ” on Vix+, which she Executive Produced with her company Cholawood Productions. Kate currently has a recurring role on Fox’s “The Cleaning Lady” season 3, for which she received an Astras awards nomination for Supporting Actress in a broadcast or cable drama series.

Cholawood Productions is a Los Angeles based Latina female-owned production company co-founded by Kate Del Castillo, alongside veteran entertainment executive Carmen Cervantes, and Daytime Emmy award-winning journalist, Jessica Maldonado.
